Pedicab drivers provide short-distance transportation within communities, helping connect passengers to places that larger vehicles may not easily reach. Their familiarity with local streets and communities makes them an important part of everyday neighborhood life.
More than simply pedaling, “Padyak” represents perseverance, livelihood, and service to the community. It reflects the effort of pedicab drivers who continue to work each day while serving the communities around them.

Despite changes in Manila's transportation landscape and limited formal recognition in some areas, drivers continue to rely on pedicabs as part of their everyday livelihood.
